Effective 22 September 2026. Spoke is a cycling-care application operated by Big Helpers Software and Solutions Pvt. Ltd. This policy explains how Spoke handles information when you use the mobile app, website, account service and optional community. Contact support@bighelpers.in for privacy or support questions.

What Spoke keeps

Your phone stores the bikes, parts, photos, rides, maintenance and prices you choose to enter or import. Creating an account uses your email address and verification messages. If you choose backup, a private copy of your garage is sent to the service and linked to your account. The service processes connection, device and security information needed to operate sign-in, backups and abuse prevention.

What you choose to share

Share cards and exported files leave the app when you choose a destination. Community is optional. If you join, you choose a public name and the bike, part, replacement, cost, shop, question, tip, photo or other details included in each contribution. Community posts and replies are reviewed before publication. Spoke does not use private garage notes, mileage or prices in a post unless you select and confirm them.

Spoke AI

Spoke AI is optional and needs a signed-in account. It uses a third-party AI service run for Big Helpers. Nothing is sent until you agree on the first use, and after that only when you ask a question or run a Spoke AI tool. Each request carries your question and a summary of the selected garage: bike names and models, distances, parts and how far they have gone, parts that are still unknown, care that is due or done, and replacement costs you entered, in the currency you paid. Spoke AI never receives your email or account details, ride routes or places, ride titles, the live ride view, photos, frame serial numbers or your address. If you also allow your ride log in Spoke AI, which is a separate choice, a request about a bike carries its ten most recent rides that have notes: the date, the distance, the weather you chose and what you noted about the ride, in the words and choices you entered. It never carries heart rate or other health data, routes, or which watch or app recorded a ride. You can turn the ride log off in Settings, Rides & Health.

If you ask Spoke AI for a caption in the Studio, the request carries only text: the bike’s name, the numbers you chose to put on the photo and any words you added. It never carries the photo itself, its location, or anything about who is in it.

To answer questions that need current information, such as a bike model’s specifications, which parts fit, service intervals or local cycling rules, Spoke AI sends a short search query about the topic (never your name or personal details) to a web search service and reads the public pages it finds; the question is not stored. A web question carries only your question, the topic you picked and, if you leave it on, your bike’s make and model, never your garage. Spoke asks for this separately before your first web question, and each answer lists the pages it came from so you can check them.

Spoke AI can also turn what you say or type into a draft care, part or ride entry, answer questions from your own records, and read a photo of a shop receipt or a part’s box. If you tap Speak, Spoke records only while you are speaking and sends the clip once to Spoke AI’s third-party AI service to be written out as text and then discarded; a receipt photo is sent once to be read and then discarded. Neither is kept by Spoke or used to train AI, and Spoke asks before your first one. For questions about your records, Spoke searches your records on your phone and sends only the few closest to your question (dates, parts, care and costs); your care notes and replacement reasons are included only if you turn on Use my notes, and your rides and ride notes only if you allowed your ride log in Spoke AI. Spoke AI can read answers aloud and show them in Hindi or English; that text is sent once and not stored. Drafts are never saved until you check them and press Save.

The Spoke service checks your sign-in, forwards the request and returns the answer. It keeps only a short operational record (time, feature used, outcome and duration) and per-account usage counts, never the text of your questions or the answers. Your Spoke AI chats are stored on your phone, are not part of your garage backup, and are removed when you delete that garage or account. Answers are suggestions, not a safety check: confirm torque, wear limits, fit and prices in the maker’s instructions or with a mechanic.

Rides from Apple Health and Health Connect

Connecting Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android) is optional. Spoke asks to read cycling workouts only: when each ride started and ended, its distance, and, when they were recorded, its climb, speed, cadence and power, whether it was indoors, the weather Apple Health recorded with it, and the name of the watch or app that recorded it. If you switch on heart rate, which is off unless you turn it on, Spoke also reads the average and highest heart rate during each cycling workout and keeps those two numbers on your phone only: they are not part of your private backup and are never sent to us or to Spoke AI. Spoke never asks for routes or locations, or any other health or fitness data, and it writes nothing back to Apple Health or Health Connect.

Spoke checks for new rides on your phone, including in the background if you allow it, and shows a notification from your phone; nothing about the ride is sent to us to do this. A ride you choose to log becomes part of your garage like any other ride, with where it came from, the weather you chose and anything you noted, so it is included in your private backup if you use one. Data read from Apple Health or Health Connect is used only to keep your bike records, is never used for advertising, and is never sold. You can disconnect at any time in Settings, Rides & Health, or remove Spoke’s access in the Health app or Health Connect; rides you already logged stay until you remove them.

Bike photos and the Studio

Photos you add to a bike, a ride or a care task are kept in Spoke on your phone. They are not part of your private backup and are not sent to us. Finding the bike in a photo, removing the background, enhancing the colour and noticing whether someone is in a photo all happen on your phone; Spoke never works out who anyone is.

When you share a card from the Studio, it goes through your phone’s share sheet to the app you choose; Spoke posts nothing itself. The photo’s location data is removed before sharing unless you turn that off. Memories and bike-love reminders are worked out on your phone, at most one reminder a week, and each kind can be switched off in Settings, Photos & memories.

Optional provider views

If you connect a supported provider, Spoke requests only the permissions shown to you and uses the returned information for the connected feature. Provider data is not added to your garage, maintenance calculations, AI tools, public posts, exports or backups unless a feature explicitly shows and confirms that action. Disconnect in Spoke and, where applicable, in the provider’s settings. Provider terms and privacy policies also apply.

Recovery copies and retention

The active service keeps your latest garage backup while your account is open. On the phone, Spoke may keep recovery copies and temporary exports for the periods shown in the app. Files you deliberately save elsewhere remain there until you remove them.

The service makes encrypted recovery snapshots daily in a separate backup account. Successful cleanup keeps snapshots for 35 days. Those isolated snapshots may contain data removed from the active service during that period and are used for recovery, not ordinary app access. Operational and security logs are retained only as needed to run and protect the service.

Delete your account

Open Account in the app, or use the account-controls page, verify your email and make the separate final deletion choice. This removes your account and garage backup from the active service. You can separately remove community contributions or your community profile. Other device copies and exported files remain under your control. An encrypted recovery snapshot may retain previous data until its retention period ends.

Your choices and rights

You can use core garage features without joining Community, control notifications in the app and device settings, export your garage, disconnect optional providers and request access, correction or deletion by contacting support. Spoke does not sell garage data or use it for third-party advertising.

Safety and children

Maintenance dates and usage counters support your care routine. They do not certify a component’s condition or replace physical inspection, a mechanic’s judgment or the manufacturer’s instructions. Spoke is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and remove it.

Security, changes and contact

Spoke uses access controls, encrypted transport, account verification and operational backups. No internet service can promise absolute security. We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change; the effective date identifies the current version. Contact support@bighelpers.in for privacy questions or a data request.
